I've been speaking with several people in the industry and reading various articles on XBRL, but what I can't determine is if the potential mandate will apply to company earnings releases. Today, these are largely text documents distributed by the press release wires (e.g. Business Wire, PR Newswire, etc.) on behalf of public companies. Do you know if the potential SEC mandate will require company earnings releases to be in XBRL?
